'Once upon a time in the West'
'Man who shot Liberty Valance'

And cos I'm a girly:

Can we have Shenandoah here as well. 'I wrote you a letter...' Don't get me started on Shenandoah. I love it.

Actually...this has cheered me up as I've been at work since 7.30 and going through 'til 10pm. Boo hoo.

Is the Heston 'Will Penny'?

Doppeldude: Yes, that's a Shocking one we left out.
Molly: 8 out of 11. As far as Heston goes: don't think of him as the lead role.
The Man Who Shot Liberty V & The Cowboys almost made my list. True Grit'a ace too, except for that annoying girl.

3 is Josey Wales, innit? And the Heston one must be Major Dundee.

Got to agree with Tombstone (my personal fave), but would definitely have The Shootist in there too - The Duke's finest (and final) onscreen hour! Also got a soft spot for Silverado - thought that was a really underrated movie...

El Duderino has 1 right & 1 wrong.
I like Silverado too, although it goes off in the middle.
I have to say I think 'The Searchers' was The Duke's finest hour.

I don't think it's Major Dundee. That's all I'm saying currently...

Is the Heston 'The Big Country'?

Dominic Zero said...

JC - Nice one.
That just leaves #6.

Molly Bloom said...

OH...I'll put you out of your misery. Tis 'The Searchers'.
Can't believe I missed this and put it on my list as well. LOL!

Dominic Zero said...

Cool.
And I don't have to give anyone a prize.

Molly Bloom said...

LOL! That's the way to do it!

El Duderino said...

I would guess The Searchers. Trouble is bloody Wayne looks the same in everything.

Dominic Zero said...

Ah, the shirt's the clue in The Searcher's pic.

Molly Bloom said...

And the neck-tie too. In most of the others, it is brown.

Molly Bloom said...

But...could you do do your top ten films of all time for us to guess? Now there's a challenge...

*Small gauntlet is thrown across blogdom*

(Did you hear it land on the web?)

Dominic Zero said...

I'll get on it, though my top 10 of all time may vary from day to day & might be a tad easy, but will give it a go.
I do love a list.

Molly Bloom said...

Yes...I can relate to the vary everyday mantra. Will look forward to that.

OK, DZ, I've weakened. Go to http://jc44.blogspot.com/ to check out my film list!

JC - Been to your blog & wasn't allowed to leave a comment - it says 'team members only' so you might wanna reset.
Just for the record - in case somebody else guesses them all - I was there first!

Sorry, sorry, sorry. New to this blogging thing. Have made what I hope is the appropriate correction!
