Hmmm..Thompson Local

Mrs Zero reckons I'm really getting old as I'm turned on by the cover of the new Thompson Local. Oh, well, it could be worse, it could be The Yellow Pages.

It's Pronounced Narzee

Apparently former SS Club 7 singer Jo O'Meara (or is that now 'former Celebrity Big Brother contestant?) is joining forces with Girls Aloud Nazi minx Cheryl Tweedy.
As Jo left the BB house in jackboots and a suspiciously right-wing hat Cheryl immediately got in touch and suggested they make a single together.
It's rumoured they'll be recording under the name The Hard Nazi Bitches and their first single will be a cover of the Phil Collins right-wing anthem 'Another Day In Paradise'.
Jade Goody will not be in the band because she looks like a pig.
Danielle WAG will not be in the band because she actually is a pig.

Book Hunt

Blimey, I've got fucking writer's cramp from being over on Doppelganger's blog discussing Jade 'I'm Not A Bad Person I'm Just An Absolute Cunt' Goody.
Anyway, went down the South Coast during the week scouring the bookshops and came back with a nice pile of pulp.
Special thanks to Leon at The Pocket Bookshop in Paignton for opening up especially for me. That made me feel really important. Possibly the best secondhand bookshop in The South West.
And thanks to Shirt for helping me find that little shop in Dartmouth. It's a shame I didn't get instructions on how to actually find Dartmouth in the fucking first place.

The Terror Of The Seven Crypts

Halle Berry Hair Management

X-1

X-2

X-3

Just so we're all clear on the X-Men hair thing. It seems the more famous she got, the better the wigs. In X-3 she even got a blue tint.

And just for the record, this is the 1979 Captain America who didn't quite make the Top Ten.

Top Ten Superhero Films

Well I haven't done a Top Ten for a while, so here you go. Some of these films may be TV Movies or may be considered Shite, but they all have in common the fact that they're all better than Superman Returns.
Enjoy.

#01 - Captain America (TVM 1989).

#02 - The Punisher (1988).

#03 - Batman Returns (1992).

#04 - X2 (2003).
#05 - The Incredible Hulk Returns (TVM 1988).

#06 - Fantastic Four (2005).

#07 - Supergirl (1984).

#08 - Doc Savage : Man Of Bronze (1975).
#09 - Spiderman 2 (2004).

#10 - Nick Fury: Agent Of Shield (TVM 1998).

Easy as pissing in a river. But I don't want any of that 'it's one of the Superman films shit', I want precise answers, or you won't win a tub of hair gel.

Coming later/soon..eventually..inspired by the tragic pile of shit that is Superman Returns.. a Top Ten Superhero films...stay tuned.

Superman Returns

Well, after wasting two hours of my life watching him return, as far as I'm concerned he can fuck off again.

Octopus 99 review Of The Year

Well, as far as 2006 went, it was mostly shit. Mark Webb ^ at the Zero wedding back in April, a highlight indeed. Now that was a v good day.
I only liked two songs: 'Somthing Kinda Ooooh' by The GA, and 'Patience' by Take That. I fucking love Take That and I'm zoomed they're back together, even though Mark Owen once called me Jeremy Beadle.
Film of the year...Eight Below.
I don't recall anything good on the telly.
