On Monday I managed to get hold of The Hoffmeister's autograph. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet him, he was doing BBC Breakfast and luckily I knew the floor manager in there. According to her he was really nice & stank of booze at 8.30 in the morning.
Excellent.
I would have preferred to have slipped him a Baywatch book, but they're all in storage.
I'm so happy I could go out and get Trashed. In fact, I think I may.

It's shame that you didn't get to meet him though. But...the signature is great. I felt the same way when Tom Baker signed one of my Doctor Who books. And John Cale signed my Miffy book. What a thrill...sorry I missed you the other day :(

Yes...John Cale did sign it...it was the only time he looked up from the table.
Yeah, Hoff was chucked out of Wimbledon a few weeks for similar reasons.
You know when you're in the company of real celebrity. Cliff Richard starts singin' in the rain and Hoff gets pissed.

Also, apparently he cut his head recently on a chandelier in his hotel room. How did he manage to do that?
Is he exceptionally tall? Or was he jumping very high? I salute his ingenuity.
After extensive 'research' I found out that David hit his head whilst shaving. He must have had a pretty cool bathroom to have a chandelier in there. Or perhaps he was shaving in his suite, whilst standing on a chair.
I'm fascinated by the details. He is a star.
