Number 4 is Max Cady - Robert Mitchum in 'Cape Fear' - oh God, I think I'm going to eat myself over how much I love that film.

3 is Michelle Pfeifffffffer as Catwoman. She looks fab. I like her so much in her fantasy roles. I even liked her in...sugar...what was it called...? With Rutger Hauer...Ladyhawke I think. I had that film when I was about 18*...and when I walked out on some saddo I was living with...I unpacked my boxes in my new home...and put the video on the shelf. Well...when I went to play it....about a year later...it wouldn't play. And I realised then that he'd got some scissors and cut neatly through the tape. I'll hand it to him...it was quite nasty and malicious - do you think it was passive aggression? I digress....again. Terrible film...but Pfeiffer was cool.

*28, I was. Hee hee.

Just like to open up the discussion here. I'd like to say that..(Gawd...here she goes again)there are villains that I admire and those that I love because they scare me so much. I'm going to tell you about both...because I'm a boring sod. And I like to bore other people too.

Right - Villains I admire and love:
Aguirre (Klaus Kinski) in Aguirre, Wrath of God. Because he is so much fun to watch.
Jane Hudson (Bette Davis) in 'Whatever Happened to Baby Jane' - absolute class.
Leatherface in 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' - because he is just so, so funny.
John Doe in Se7en because he is so cool and calm. And brilliant. And...well horny sitting in the back of that car.
Alex in 'Clockwork Orange' because he looks fun, even though he does bad things.
Mark Lewis in 'Peeping Tom' because he's only taking photos, man.

Villains that I like because they scare me so much:
Rev Henry Powell - Night of the Hunter. You scare me. Don't scare me.
Frank Booth in 'Blue Velvet' - I think I nearly put him in the first category. But he still scares me.
Nurse Ratched in 'One Flew Over' it's that mouth. Oooh, don't let her near me. So cold, so cold. Dudes will save us when he rips out the sink. Even though he looks nothing like the Indian.
Henry- in 'Henry - Portrait of a Serial Killer' - he is too real. That's what makes him frightening.
And my absolute horror - Albert Spica in 'The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover' - I just think he is just so unbelievably scary. The Buttoneater sequence. Oh Lord. And I can stomach just about anything...I still cannot sit through the scene with the paper down the throat. I have tried so many times...and I close my eyes every time. I know he's not there in that scene...but he caused it...I don't want him to come to my house...please don't let him. And he's not coming near my train-set.

Cool list, Molly, cool list.
Ladyhawke! Wow, that was on telly the other day - it's crap. I loved it when it came out.
Had a lot of time for Pfeiffer til she started churning out worthy 'I want to be taken seriously & still get work when I'm old' stuff.
