Top 10 Sword & Stab Films

#01 : The Golden Voyage Of Sinbad (1974).
#02 : Demetrius And The Gladiators (1954).

#03 : 300 (2006).
#04 : The Long Ships (1964).
#05 : Troy (2004).
#06 : The 300 Spartans (1962).
#07 : Conan The Barbarian (1982).
#08 : Jason And The Argonauts (1963).
#09 : Gladiator (2000).
#10 : Up Pompeii (1971).
Crikey, it's harder than you think coming up with ten Sword & Stab films. It would have been 'Sword & Sandals', but I spotted shoes in at least a couple of these timeless epics.
Tell me all the titles and win a Sack Of Christmas Shit.

1)'The Golden Voyage of Sinbad' ... Caroline Munro, 'nuff said.
2)'Demetrius and the Gladiators' (Victor Mature, the ham's ham).
3)Gawd knows .... looks like a very camp genie.
4)'The Vikings' ... Richard Widmark, what a guy!
5)'Troy'
6)Some Italian sword and sandals epic? Millions of them, if it is.
7)I know that annoying little munchkin's face ... really, I do
8)'Jason and the Argonauts'
9)?
10)Tricky this, but I think it's 'Up Pompei' rather than the Edgar Rice Burroughs adaptation she was in.

St Ant : Well done on getting the Hard One - #10 is indeed 'Up Pompeii'. #4 is not 'The Vikings'. #7 will annoy.
Doppledude : #9 is 'Gladiator'.
I'm sure your former prize is still in the post somewhere...you know how slow they can be.

Damn ... 4) must be 'The Long Ships' ...
I reckon I should get a consolation prize for getting 10) ... not easy to concentrate when contemplating the Ege torpedoes.

#4 is indeed the fantastic 'The Long Ships'. Richard Widmark is one of the Gods I worship.
#3 is '300'.
#7 is not 'Krull', though I wish I'd thought of that one.
#7 is really gonna annoy you when you figure it out.

PS Ah..Caroline Munro. If you watch 'Golden Voyage' very carefully you get to see her nipple.
Went to see that film four days in a row when it came out...

Richard Widmark, one of the Hollywood greats and a definitive movie psycho.
'Krull' has got a wonderful supporting cast of quality Brits such as Freddie Jones and Alun Armstrong, not to mention Bernie "I only asked" Breslaw's cyclops.

Dom,

Just a guess, but is 7 'Braveheart'? I thought it might be the young William Wallace!
