Wild West
Well, as inspired by Molly's recent Horror Top 10, here's my pictorial Top 10 Westerns:The Professionals (1966) The Magnificent Seven (1960) The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) The Big Country (1958) The Wild Bunch (1969)
Doppeldude: Yes, that's a Shocking one we left out. Molly: 8 out of 11. As far as Heston goes: don't think of him as the lead role. The Man Who Shot Liberty V & The Cowboys almost made my list. True Grit'a ace too, except for that annoying girl.
Got to agree with Tombstone (my personal fave), but would definitely have The Shootist in there too - The Duke's finest (and final) onscreen hour! Also got a soft spot for Silverado - thought that was a really underrated movie...
El Duderino has 1 right & 1 wrong. I like Silverado too, although it goes off in the middle. I have to say I think 'The Searchers' was The Duke's finest hour.

3 is Josey Wales, innit? And the Heston one must be Major Dundee.

I don't think it's Major Dundee. That's all I'm saying currently...
Is the Heston 'The Big Country'?
JC - Nice one.
That just leaves #6.
OH...I'll put you out of your misery. Tis 'The Searchers'.
Can't believe I missed this and put it on my list as well. LOL!
Cool.
And I don't have to give anyone a prize.
LOL! That's the way to do it!
I would guess The Searchers. Trouble is bloody Wayne looks the same in everything.
Ah, the shirt's the clue in The Searcher's pic.
And the neck-tie too. In most of the others, it is brown.
But...could you do do your top ten films of all time for us to guess? Now there's a challenge...
*Small gauntlet is thrown across blogdom*
(Did you hear it land on the web?)
I'll get on it, though my top 10 of all time may vary from day to day & might be a tad easy, but will give it a go.
I do love a list.
Yes...I can relate to the vary everyday mantra. Will look forward to that.
OK, DZ, I've weakened. Go to http://jc44.blogspot.com/ to check out my film list!
